About Charlotte

I am Charlotte, a designer at Amazon Video and previously a designer for the BBC working on the Visual Journalism team. At Amazon I am involved with the whole product life cycle, working primarily on the livingroom eperience but also on web from time to time. I work closely with engineers, product and other designers on the team on the current and the future thinking of the application. I research, wireframe, craft visuals and interactions across the application.

At the BBC I worked with designers, journalists and developers, responding to breaking news stories as well as larger data journalism pieces, created for a global audience.

I created award winning, cross-platform interactive user experiences and unique story telling data visualisations, crafting, researching and defining unique interaction patterns for each project.

I graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2011 with a first class honours degree in Digital Art & Technology. I was then awarded a place on the BBC Design trainee scheme as an interaction designer. As a trainee I worked in Visual Journalism, Sport throughout the 2012 Olympic games, iPlayer and the World Service where I specialised in designing user experiences for 27 languages.
